Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the effects of the increasing competition between the U.S. and Russia in the Eastern Mediterranean on Turkish foreign policy. This region has undergone a radical geopolitical transformation over the past decade and has become one of the most important scenes of the power struggle between global actors. The U.S. and Russia take the lead in this struggle, and the balance between the two countries is changing. This situation is also directly affected Turkey’s foreign policy. In this article the changing balances in the Eastern Mediterranean and Turkey’s efforts to adapt to this new process are discussed.
