Summary/Abstract: The problems of the contemporary world in the field of education led to the imposition of such syntagma as lifelong learning, lifelong education, self-learning, self-education. There is a complex relationship between these syntagma. Permanent education aims to focus on the educational problems of the world which is in a continuous dynamism and change. The present paper aims to express theoretically that lifelong learning requires permanent education, which means that we include here not only children, pupils, students, but we also talk about adults and parents' education. In other words, we want to say that through the permanent education the process of self-learning, self-initiation, self-education takes place. At the same time, we want to explain and further develop the syntagma of lifelong learning, which is quite comprehensive and comprise relevant educational implications.
