CONTRIBUTIONS OF FACILITY MANAGEMENT IN INFECTIOUS DISEASE MANAGEMENT

Summary/Abstract: Management of the infectious disease process many methods are put forward, starting with individuals, especially taking measures regarding their economic and sociological effects and seeking sustainable solutions. In this process, it is proposed and expected that the public or official authorities will assume the fundamental responsibility. However, as experienced in the COVID-19 outbreak, it was understood that civilian initiatives should be equally sensitive and take responsibility. Unfortunately, the measures taken at the municipal level are not sufficient because the idea of professional management in the struggle with infectious diseases cannot be established enough to spread on a legal basis by planning and organizing. At this point, as an interdisciplinary field and as a management discipline in its own right, professional facility management is in a position to be a solution center for the implementation of civil initiatives. This study reveals possible contributions in infectious disease management.
