Summary/Abstract: The paper contains the results of the analysis on fiscal policy changes in European Union, comparing Romania with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Thefore, are considered tax revenues and tax expenditures at the level of EU countries, as well as the methods and techniques used in each country to maintain an optimal fiscal policy.
