Summary/Abstract: The Church needs a constant renewal of its pastoral ministry style. On the one hand, it is a renewal dictated by the invigorating “fermentation” of the Holy Spirit. On the other hand, this renewal consists in listening to the voice of the modern world in order to answer its tormenting questions in the light of the gospel (cf. Lumen Gentium 4,44). Modern evangelization meansevangelizing a secularized world. therefore, the Church needs a missionary conversion of its pastoral work. This is about going out to the periphery of ecclesial communities to proclaim the gospel boldly and faithfully where christ has not yet taken root in the hearts of men. It is also about activating the evangelization of all members of the Church, especially the laity. This activation should be accompanied by the process of the Church’s self-evangelization, understood as deepening the contact with the mystery of the living God.
