Summary/Abstract: The development of people’s lifestyle goes in accordance to the progress in time. Family establishment makes no exception despite the geographical position of a country. This paper aims at a comparative study of Albanian case and British one between the 19th and the beginnings of the 21st Centuries. The characteristics of these centuries’ societies, as well as the women’s rights evolution are a special focus of this paper. Paradoxically, the British society and the Albanian society have quite passed through the same stages of family establishment with arranged marriages, legislation changes and women’s rights. Switching focus on analyzing these stages and the way both these two societies have progressed are the goal of this research. Statistics show that women’s’ status and the mentality as well as the new phenomena are interrelated to each other and they have a special impact.
