Summary/Abstract: The aim of this review is to highlight the merits of the monography entitled Școala medicală timișoreană – Fondatorii (The Medical University from Timișoara – the Founding Fathers), authored by Associate prof. Sorin Ursoniu from the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Timișoara, Romania. The book was published in 2015 by the Victor Babeș Publishing House, on the occasion of the University’s 70th anniversary. It reunites the profiles of 43 personalities in the Romanian medical field, emphasizing their contribution to the development of national and international medical practice and research.
