Summary/Abstract: Legal rules governing the protection of privacy are abstract in nature and therefore it is necessary to help shape their application in practice. This paper focuses on the current trends affecting their decision-making Slovak courts of the right to personal privacy within the purview of ECHR case-law, with particular regard to the status of persons publicly known.
