Summary/Abstract: Norway, a monarchy in northern Europe that is still outside the European current of integration, is still relatively unknown in Central Europe. Historically, this fact is justified by the fact that the country was for many centuries a subordinate part of the Nordic monarchies, with the dominance of neighboring states - Denmark and Sweden. However, this rather small state has gained a more prominent position in the globalized world and in the international community than it might seem at first glance. Whether it is active participation in international politics, in the international legal protection of human rights, involvement in the protection of the environment. However, Norway is also the country that has been providing the highest financial assistance to developing countries for several years, or a country with perhaps the most sophisticated social system in the world. These are all facts which call for a straightforward view of the Kingdom of Norway.
