Summary/Abstract: While writing the Acts of the Apostles, Lukas followed the ancient historiographers which often told stories on the basis of which some paradigms were created. Therefore, the paradigms of characters, history and Church community can be found in the Book. In this paper, the author focuses on the story of the Council of Jerusalem (Acts 15, 1-29). As a response to the crisis arising around the dispute over a necessity of circumcision, the meeting can be treated as a paradigm of a conciliar way of confronting the conflicts concerning faith and practice in the context of community.
