Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to examine the way in which the content ofhonor occurs in the “songs of ascents” (Ps 120-134). Each unit contains – moreor less evidently – a reference to this value. Honor is a reality which the Psalm-ist desires, but often lacks. The dynamic of the collection presents relayingon God’s grace as the right way to seek honor. He responds to this humanexpectation through His creative intervention, by which the order of the worldis restored.
