Summary/Abstract: The 1980s meant, in terms of crime fiction for a child reader, continuation of the trends from the previous period of the 1970s. Detective series which are in terms of the genre closest to the classic detective story for children dominated at that time. So did some small genres of social prose with detective plot or detective texts intended for older readers. Interesting for interpretation appear to be the fairy tale texts from this period that demonstrate some characteristics of the detective story in a very specific way, yet they do not fit in to the concept of detective genre as such.
