Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the system of valuable reference points of Akim Volynsky. The emphasis is placed on a number of the paradoxical judgments of the critic caused by discrepancy of his world model and incompleteness of a critical system in general. The polemic concepts of the critic are considered which found reflection in its estimates of literary criticism of the 60th of ХХ of century and a decadence.
