Summary/Abstract: During the vegetation period (april – october) in the years 2012 and 2014 we observed the quantitative and qualitative habitat of praticol beetles (Coleoptera) of a meadow Biotops near the Nature Reserve Hlboče in the CHKO Malé Karpaty (SW Slovakia). The object of examination was to determinethe effect of vertical zoning the communities of beetles on two selected stations with different altitudes (Meadow A – 275 meter and Meadow B – 358 meter). We counted approximately 568 ex. of beetles. They belong to 43 different species originating from 8 different families. The dominant families were: Chrysomelidae 391 ex. (68,7 %), Curculionidae 86 ex. (15,2 %) and Coccinellidae 62 ex. (10,9 %). The Table n. 3 shows the indicator value of found species, their arrangement into bionomic categories, the number of individuals, the month of the collection and the summary abundance of species. The research also compares the seasonal and structural dynamics of the beetle in the study biotops of meadow with different vertical zoning.
