Summary/Abstract: The text shows relations between Russia and European Union after the crisis in Ukraine and the Russian accession of Crimea. First, based on the constructivist theory of international relations, the main characteristics of Russian and European foreign policy are analyzed. The main features of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement signed between the European Union and Russia in 1994 are noted. Subsequently, their mutual relations in energy policy and its influence on relations between European Union and Russia are considered. The author’s thesis is that the very different interests of EU member states related to energy policy make it impossible to establish a single European policy towards Russia. At the end of the text, the projection of the basic features of relations between Russia and the European Union is proposed. Finally, it is concluded that considering the relations with Russia the strong EU members will pursue their national interests, while the countries of Central Europe will wander among the interests of the EU, USA and attempts to shape their own foreign policy based on the established national interests. In the long run, it follows that the European Commission will attempt to further integrate European Union by forming the common foreign and security policy.
