Summary/Abstract: The article presents the Decorative arts and Documentation classes for museology students of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The main focal point has been the aspects of the course which were taken at the Warsaw Archdiocese Museum. The theoretical background of decorative arts history, combined with the in-depth course on how to prepare proper artefact documentation, is an integral part of BA Museology studies. Due to the lack of a university museum, it was particularly important to provide students with the opportunity to put theory into practice in a real museum, using techniques and artefacts not available at the university. The text analyses particular questions which were beneficial for museum studies adepts as performed in the professional environment.
