Summary/Abstract: This study analyses, from a law and economics perspective, the evolution of the Court of Justice of the European Union case law on the relevance of the annual percentage rate of charge on price transparency in consumer credit agreements in Pohotovosť (2010), Kásler (2014), Matei (2017), and Kiss (2019) cases. The study criticizes the annihilation of the original function of this indicator of ensuring the transparency of credit costs.
