Summary/Abstract: The current study analyses the means through which the National Christian Defense League's (Liga Apărării Naționale Creștine) propaganda has used the electoral discourse to build both the adversary's and its own image in the parliamentary elections of May 1926 in Romania. Moreover, the current study aims at establishing the identity of the one who was placed, through propaganda, in a dominant position in comparison to the other political players. The defining elements of the National Christian Defense League's discourse in the present campaign were the wave of accusations launched against certain actors identified as adversaries, as well as the exaggerations of their propaganda regards of the antisemitic organisation, or Alexandru C. Cuza, its main leader.
