Summary/Abstract: Wojciech Wiercieński of Ślepowron coat of arms (ca. 1744 – 1829) was an influential landowner in the south-west Lublin regions, coming from a needy nobility of Podlasie. He made law career in Lublin, where he became a defense attorney in the Crown Tribunal. As an experienced lawyer, he held lower office. He stayed in a close contact with influential people of culture (Kajetan Koźmian) and politics (Józef Puchała). Thanks to successful marriages, he left his property to his children from his second marriage. However, they could not keep the property in Wierzchowiska.
