Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the paper is to present chosen problems of labour market in Podkarpackie Voivodeship, especially on tourist labour market through outlining strength sand weaknesses of the market. When writing about dilemmas connected with employing in separate branches one should underline, that amongst assets of Podkarpackie Voivodeship is its relatively young society because persons before generative age consist 23,1% of the whole society in the region. It is the highest proportion amongst all the voivodeships in Poland. Small and medium entrepreneurships (the so-called SME sector) play an important role increating new jobs. One of good examples is tourist industry, that according to document called: Strategy of Podkarpackie Voivodeship Development within 2007–2020 constitutes one of keystones (next to aviation industry) of general economic growth of the region. However, according to document called: Human Capital Balance [raport_blk_podkarpackie.pdf, access: 8.05.2018] the biggest difficulties in finding employees have entrepreneurs from hotel and gastronomy branch, that is one of the fundamental sector of tourist industry. The problem soccur both on employers side (inadequate conditions of employment for applicants) and on applicants’ side (their expectations do not find favour in job’s offer).
