Summary/Abstract: The objective of this study is displaying the most important connections between investments in human capital and the “brain waste” phenomenon. The first part briefly describes the methods of investment in human capital. Further, after a synthetic depiction of 26 P. Strawiński, Changes in return to higher education in Poland 1998-2004, 2007. A synthetic summary of conducted considerations concludes the study.
