Summary/Abstract: The article presents the main stages of the conservation-restoration project of the bishop stall from the collection of Putna monastery, as well as the results of this collaborative project. A team of Romanian experts from various institutions joined by the experts from the French ARC-Nucleart laboratory in Grenoble (Fr) united their expertise in an exchange of tendencies and know-how leading towards a modern methodological approach of the conservation-restoration interventions. The results of the collaboration consisted in the design of a common set of interventions combining the principles of the archaeological approach and modern conservation treatments for the polychrome wooden objects.
