Summary/Abstract: Sustainable development of society largely depends on the implementation of the concept ofeducation towards respect and protection of the natural environment. The keyword ‘thinkglobally – act locally’ is increasingly reflected in educational activities and educational schoolsthat through the implementation of sustainable development, spread students’ knowledgeabout nature conservation among students.The analysis of the data relating to the implementation of sustainable development in thearea of environmental protection in the junior high school and high schools has submittedthe information that increases pro-environment awareness in Polish schools, and theinvolvement of teachers and students in activities for the benefit of nature are becominglarger and more diverse.
