Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the characterisation of the protagonists, Stefanit and Ihnilat, who are presented with both positive and negative characteristics, which is not typical of the early literature. Their characters are depicted through direct speech, their thoughts, through their deeds and based on what other characters think of them.
