Summary/Abstract: The goal of the present paper was to identify and analyze elements of different texts (such as historical documents, Bašeskija's „Ljetopis“, works of V.Skarić, Jukić and Kecmanović as well as the works of other writers – Selimović, Dizdar, Ujević, Kranjčević, Lovrenović) found in poems from the „Sarajevska zbirka“ written by A.Sidran. The paper also tried to explain the reasons and ways in which those texts were chosen and used in Sidran's verses as well as the effect they had on poems from the „Sarajevska zbirka“. It tried to explain why Sidran went through historical documents and included them in his verses. It also dealt with his „cult of the truth“and the symbolic role of the City of Sarajevo, both in the title as well as in his poetry book
