Summary/Abstract: The article presents issues concerning one of leading institutions of the state security an Government Protection Bureau is which were presented. In the first part the author is showing the genesis and the evolution of the institution including political conditioning. In part second and third the article was presented of considering with reference to competence, tasks, the structure and taken action by the institution at taking existing threats into account in the domestic and global space. The presented material does not contain classified information and source material presented content are acts of universally binding law and normative documents widely available and develop a compact.
