The Importance of Cultural Barriers on the Background Other Barriers for Knowledge Management in Medium–Sized High–Tech Companies

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the problem of barriers for knowledge management in high–tech companies. This article attempts to find answer to the question what importance do the cultural barriers have on the background other barriers? Based on surveys conducted in 55 medium–sized high–tech companies it was stated that almost all types of barriers were rated similar but barriers associated with management methods were rated higher than cultural barriers. In addition, it was noted that within the category of cultural barriers the most common problem was no or limited trust.
