Summary/Abstract: In the society of the 21st century it is generally accepted that a new intangible resource of organizations is knowledge, in addition to the other existing resources: human, capital, raw materials and equipment. This is, in particular, in a society and a knowledge-based economy, where it has become an invaluable means for all organizations, particularly for companies. The objective of this work is to make a diagnosis that assesses the way of applying knowledge management and innovation in the family business Campechanas la Escondida de la Trinidad. This project is based on a case study methodology, with a type of descriptive research; the information collection uses as instruments with a qualitative approach, observation and interview. The results translate into a dependence on intangible resources, where there is a dilemma between the artisanal process and the roles are not defined in the family members, in addition to the lack of human talent management, training and innovation, which has slowed down their competition.
