Risk Management of Colon Cancer Through Health Education Based on The Opinion of Patients of Primary Care in Miszew Murowana

Summary/Abstract: Malignant neoplasms in Poland occupy the second place, after cardiovascular diseases, in terms of the most common causes of death. Their number has doubled in the last thirty years. One of the groups of cancers that show a growing trend in both the male and female population are colorectal cancers. The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge and health behaviors of Primary Care Patients in Miszew Murowana on the prevention of colorectal cancer. The research group consisted of 125 people. The study was carried out using a diagnostic survey and the survey tool used was a questionnaire. Patients of Primary Health Care in Miszew Murowana participating in the study general knowledge about colorectal cancer and in the primary and secondary prevention. Despite their high level of awareness, their health behaviors do not reflect their knowledge in the field of primaryprevention of malignant colorectal cancer.
