Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present aspects of teleworking in Poland as an alternative to stationary work in the social and organizational dimension. In the era of rapid development of technology and the labor market changing for the benefit of the employee, while the shortage of high-class specialists in the IT industry, remote work allows the employment of employees regardless of their place of residence. In addition to positive aspects of teleworking as a flexible approach to performing professional duties - place, time and freedomof action, work carried out at home also brings negative psychological and social effects,among which the most common include: sense of isolation and blurring the boundary between work and private life. The author points out strengths and weaknesses, illustrating them with the results of surveys conducted among employees of selected five IT companiesin September 2017.
