Summary/Abstract: The issue of enterprises’ demand for capital has been known for many years and, what is more – due to the growing number of forms of financing for economic entities – it is particularly important. Enterprises, depending on many factors, especially the phase of life, size, subject of action, management’s approach, report the need to use specific sources of financing. The range of the market offer in the area of financing business activities is constantly growing. Crowdfunding has become one of the new forms of financing business ventures. Traditional financing tools are modified in order to meet the recipients’ capital requirements. Therefore, the changes also affect the problem of criteria for classifying both traditional and modern forms of financing enterprises, which is the subject of this article.
