Summary/Abstract: The analysis of changes expressed in the evolution of personal function shows increase in the role of a worker in an organization, and shift from thinking about workers only through the prism of costs, to the approach in which workers are perceived in termsof human resources or increasingly more often human capital. These processes are accompanied by generational transformations that are associated with three waves of labour virtualisation among others. Technological, economic and socio-cultural conditions in which people of various generations (Baby Boomers, X generation, Y generations, Z generations) have been growing are different. Consequently, the attitudes, expectations and behaviours of specific generations are diversified. This brings many implications for human capital management, including the ways in which workers are motivated and communicated with. The purpose of the paper is to show changes in the management of people in an organizationin the context of generational changes. The paper is based on literature studies and the analysis of case studies.
