Summary/Abstract: The main goal of the article is to present modern solutions of biometric technologies and to effectively use them in the case of ATM transactions, mobile payments as well as in a bank branch at customer verification. The article attempts to answer the question: what is the attitude of customers towards the use of modern technologies –biometrics in banking? A research method based on the analysis of available data was used. Biometrics allows confirming the identity of a person based on biological characteristics that distinguish one person from another. In banking the confirmation of identity is basedon the verification of identity documents, passwords or PIN number, however biometric methods gain greater recognition. The basis of the article preparation was the analysis of literature in the field of biometrics methods used in banking.
