Summary/Abstract: Welfare houses are establishments providing care services, living support, and education for people who need full time care. The task of social welfare houses is to provide residents adequate nutrition, nursing and medical care, the right atmosphere to provide support in adapting to new conditions. The aim of the study was to investigate the opinion of residents on the appanage of medical and non-medical service and sanitary-living conditions in welfare house in Glowno and Lodz. The survey was conducted between March and April 2014 among 147 residents living in welfare house in Glowno and Lodz. Most of the people living in welfare house was pleased with the stay. Services provided to residents were highly evaluated. Care and treatment services were assessed the best.
