The Development of Vocational Education Based on Cooperation with Employers

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents forms of cooperation of vocational schools with employers, directed towards solving the big problem of contemporary vocational education that should be more oriented for labour market and give such qualifications to young people,that are expected by employers. The author tried to identify the place of vocational education system in a system of knowledge management, as well as to bring issues of effective dialogue which is the only way to partnership for employment. The role of a tutor and mentor is also characterized in the paper, which derives from the assumption that the repertoire of activities of vocational teachers and employees should correspond directly with these two roles.
