Summary/Abstract: There is no doubt that there exists the necessity to adjust vocational education to the needs of the labour market. The expectations and needs of this market should bea significant determinant of vocational education, whilst preparing one for employment should be the aim of this kind of education. It is also essential to prepare one for the transition to labour market within the said market’s framework. Has the previous system of vocational education taken into account the labour market’s needs? And to what extent? Has it prepared students for their transition from school to the market? What are the chances that the new system, suggested by the Ministry of Education as part of the‘good change’, will rise to the needs of students and employers and favour the transition to labour market? The following paper has made an attempt to answer all these questions.
