Summary/Abstract: It is commonly believed that people employed in an organization constitute its basic and the most valuable element. Their qualifications and competences determine the organization’s development, its position on the labour market and its competitive advantage. Thus, workers are seen as the organization’s capital, which should be invested in, developed and brought to perfection. Educating the workers is the main way leading to it, which falls into the concept of human resource management. Education plays a key role in the development of human resources. Emphasizing the necessity of workplaces to actively engage in employees’ learning process, it is worth to refer to the concept of a learning organization, according to which workplaces should become the primary education environment of adults.
