Knowledge of students of medical profile studies on the principles of providing health services as an important element of health care management

Summary/Abstract: Primary health care (PHC) is the basis of action for health. PHC is defined as "the provision of health, preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitation and care in the field of general medicine, pediatrics and family, granted under the ambulatory health care". The aim of the study was to investigate the knowledge of students of Public Health and Physiotherapy at Medical University of Lodz on the principles of providing primary health care services. The survey was conducted in March 2014 among students of public health at the faculty of Health Sciences and physiotherapy students at the Faculty of Military Medicine, Medical University of Lodz. The study involved 211 patients (136 women and 75 men).
