Summary/Abstract: Electronic money institutions are one of the most modern types of financial institutions. They break the monopoly of banks in terms of spending electronic money and carry out deposit operations. Electronic money institutions play an essential role in the monetary policy of the state. Taking into account the financial stability of the state in the context of functioning of electronic money institutions seems important to monitor permanently the entities which create the payment system and implement new solutions. It will allow for the limitation or reduction of the potential causes of systemic risk.
