Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to introduce the concept of "Odessa Pianistic School" as appropriate to a holistic socio-cultural phenomenon. A systematic analysis of socio-cultural processes of the formation of Odessa's pianistic school is the methodological core of the study. Scientific novelty is in covering the general historical, cultural and professional-pianistic conditions for the emergence and existence of the Odessa pianistic school as a system phenomenon of the musical culture of Ukraine. The two-level structure of the concept "piano school" is considered as a didactic system and as a genre subsystem of culture. Conclusions: the long period of existence of the Odessa pianistic school, which includes the musical, pedagogical and performing traditions of the best representatives of the piano art of Ukraine and Europe, is a complex system with many components. Research of the school with the involvement of a systematic approach makes it possible to reveal its role, influence, consequences for the development of Ukrainian piano art.
