Summary/Abstract: Technological progress and the large scale use of computer systems has brought about unquestionable benefits, but at the same time exposed society to a series of risks related to the malicious use of these systems. In fact, the dependency degree of public institutions, legal and physical persons on using computer networks is reflected into the similar degree of vulnerability, and exposure to the illicit use of these means. The advantages of new technology are successfully used not only for scientific advancement but also to further criminal activity.Linking computers in networks has had a huge impact on developing online commerce and services, as well as on crime globalization.
