Summary/Abstract: This paper addresses the issue of construction of waqf buildings in the Sanjak of Herzegovina during the 17th century. On the basis of archival material found in various archives in Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik, Istanbul and several monastic archives in Dalmatia, information on sacral and profane objects, their names, date of establishment and the names of the founders was provided. The paper equally follows the establishment of endowments, regardless of confessional affiliation.
