Family Enterprises on the Catering Market – a Case Study

Summary/Abstract: In today’s world, beverage companies play an important role. In recent years, food service market development in Poland is undoubtedly related to the social and economic changes taking place in our country. Research shows that catering companies, belonging to the economy section H (hotels and restaurants) are very much a family business. Among the companies operating in the catering services are family-owned companies with a long tradition, for example, Blikle Grycan, Coral, Dybalski, but a lot of new, young, first generation companies have also been created, that have recently started operations in this industry. The aim of this study is to attempt to present conditions for the development of catering enterprises in Poland and the presentation of fifth generation family companies operating in this industry.
