The National Code in Anton Pashku's Novel "Oh"

Summary/Abstract: The national code in the novel “Oh” includes two subcodes, the popular subcode and the historic subcode. Researchers have regarded these two codes as fundamental codes for Albanian literature; the novel “Oh” depicts these codes as subcodes in miniature. The inclusion of these two subcodes into the greater national code denotes the idea that through national Albanian signs, the ‘national’ attribute unifies the popular subcode to Albanian folk literature, and the historic subcode to Albanian history.
