Summary/Abstract: The comparison of two printed editions represents two different author’s approaches, specifically the approach of Petr Motýl (O strašném drakovi pod krakovským hradem a jiné polské pohádky) and of Luisa Nováková (Polské pověsti). The approaches to the common subject are compared in the second part of the article. It deals with the legend of the Wawel Dragon and the legend of Mr. Twardowski.
