Summary/Abstract: Holy Scripture states that God is love. This is not only a quality of God, but His very nature. In the Joannin context, love must be interpreted ontologically. Love involves two important aspects: sacrifice and relationship. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ is the sacrificial testimony of divine love. From the perspective of the relationship, God can be love only in full freedom. His desire for created beings to love Him presupposes the creation of individuals with freedom of choice. Freedom of choice is a precious gift from God to the human being. It gives freedom to love or to reject it. It, also, gives dignity so that human being can reflect God’s image. Paradigm shift during the ages has proved that mankind had freedom to create its own religious frame.
