Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, through the use of digital technology, activists are more powerful and effective. Tools such as the Internet and mobile phones let them communicate with other people, share their concerns, inform and organize themselves to influence decisions made by companies. This paper examines those changes and describes the social movement called “digital activism” which becomes the new challenge faced by business today.
