Summary/Abstract: Stefan Kozak‘s Literary and cultural memorabilia was published on the eve of the65th anniversary of the Department of Ukrainian Studies.Actually, articles about both young and mature Stefan Kozak, prepared for publicationby Volodymyr Pilipovich in the book Literary and cultural memorabilia, give the readera lot of cognitive material. It also gives a rare possibility to plunge into the atmosphereof the 60s of the last century, to feel it inside through the eyes of the young Ukrainian atthat time from Poland, in a number of explorations, and most “autobiographically” in theintroductory essay. The word from the author: thaw, the sixties and we.“Literary and Cultural Memorabilia” is a kind of a creative report on life, living withpeople: with the words of Valeriy Shevchuk, the Temple of Literature, there is a measurementof Skovorodin’s “affi nity” with them. But it is far from being only a report. For itis here that we fi nd scientifi c ideas, human revelations, and the depth of the pricelessexperience that crystallizes into a trusted plot about how to survive all disasters must andyet remain a true Man, not lost, like in Nikolay Shlemkevich, but being integral with hisfaith, love and hope.
