Summary/Abstract: The article presents tree approaches to linear ordering of objects described by a set of metric and ordinal characteristics. In the first approach the metric and ordinal characteristics are transformed to linguistic qualifications and the fuzzy numbers (the weakness of scale of metric characteristics). The second approach is joined with the use of generalized distance measure (GDM) proposed by Walesiak (the constant of measuring scales). In the third approach the value of ordinal characteristics (linguistic) is exchanged on fuzzy numbers (strengthening of the scale of ordinal characteristics). The proposed approaches were applied to the arrangement of linear ordering of administrative districts of the Wielkopolska voivodeship according to the state and quality of technical infrastructure.
