Summary/Abstract: Studies on the profitability of banks require gathering relevant financial data. Information on the activities of banks is presented in different sources and different reporting periods. The main problem that occurs at this stage is an access to standardized and up-to date data. The solution to this problem can be applied forecasting methods based on historical data. The article aims to construct a forecast of profitability ratios ROA and ROE for banks operating on the Warsaw Stock Exchange for the years 2012 and 2013.The analysis has been covered by the 14 listed banks. The forecast has been established for groups of banks (the Ward method) which in 2007 and 2011 were characterized by similar values of ROA and ROE.
